The Bulgarian Posts (Bulgarian: Български пощи) is the national postal service of Bulgaria.
The company was established in 1992. Although it was transformed into a joint-stock company in 1997, it is fully owned by the state.

Outbound international items are tracked on Bulgarian Posts’ website until they are dispatched from Bulgaria.
After that, they are tracked on the official website of the destination postal operator.
Inbound international items are tracked on the official website of the postal operator of origin until they arrive in Bulgaria. After that, they are tracked on Bulgarian Posts’ official website.

According to p.56 of the “General Conditions of the Contract with the Users of the Universal Postal Service and Postal Money Transfers Provided by Bulgarian Posts PLC” (General Conditions), a claim can be submitted by the sender of the item/postal money transfer up to the time of receipt by or payment to the recipient.
A claim is considered only when all details about the item are filled in the claims system, and when a copy of the receipt issued at the time of submission of the item is provided.
In case of problems concerning registration in the System or submission of claims: Use the official Bulgarian Posts telephone number or the email that is written in Contacts.

- If this is the first time you access the system, please register via the Sign up now link on the home page. Enter your details (Name, Surname and E-mail).
You will receive a username and a password for access on the e-mail you have provided.
From that moment you will be able to submit your claims online as well as to receive information about the progress of their treatment.
The telephone numbers listed below can be used to obtain information about filling in claims and inquiries, about claims for which no reply has been received within the prescribed periods /within a period of 1 month from the date of submission of the claim for domestic postal items and money transfers and within a period of 3 months for international postal items/, about issues related to replies to claims and inquiries, indemnities.

The History of Bulgarian Posts
The Bulgarian Posts company was established in 1992.
Its predecessor, the Bulgarian Posts and Telecommunications company, was founded as the Bulgarian Posts and Telegraphs after the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule, as the provisional Russian administration handed over all post and telegraph offices to the newly restored Bulgarian state in 1879.
It joined the General Postal Union in the same year. On March 31, 1997, "Bulgarian Posts" EOOD was transformed into a joint-stock company.
In 2005, the company operated 3,008 post offices and a total length of 80,060 km with the postal route. The company was a monopoly in the country in providing universal postal service until 2006.
As of 2016, Bulgarian Posts reported operating 2,981 post offices and 4,814 mailboxes.
Interesting historical facts
- In 1879 Bulgaria became a member of the Universal Postal Union.
- In 1992 after the split of Bulgarian Posts and Telecommunications Plc, two companies were established – Bulgarian Posts Plc and Bulgarian Telecommunications Company Plc.
- 1993. PostEurop, The Association of European Public Postal Operators, was established, and Bulgarian Posts became a member.
- In 2003 for the first time a barcode for internationally registered items and parcels was introduced at Bulgarian Posts Plc.
The Track and Trace system for international and EMS items was introduced. Projects for a system for quality measurement and an integrated counter were developed in cooperation with CTT.
- In 2005 Bulgarian Posts Plc became a regular member of the EMS Cooperative, which marks the beginning of the exchange of messages for the accepted and delivered EMS items. A service for acceptance of Bulpost items at the expense of the recipient was introduced.
- In 2008 a decree of the Council of Ministers was approved concerning the adoption of an ordinance for general rules for mutual access to the networks of the postal operators of the universal postal service or part of them.
- In 2009 the company received the following certificate for compliance with quality - БДС EN ISO 9001-2008.
